Charter products with a driver usually include a daily mileage allowance in the daily rate — for example 300 km per day — with excess kilometres charged separately. Understanding this helps you estimate the cost of longer itineraries accurately.
Why there is an allowance
The daily rate covers vehicle wear, fuel and the driver's working time. A mileage allowance is the standard industry basis for pricing: it keeps the cost of ordinary itineraries stable while charging very long routes according to actual usage.
Typical distances
- One day in and around Urumqi: usually under 200 km
- Urumqi to Tianchi and back: around 250–300 km
- Urumqi to Sayram Lake: about 500 km one way — priced as a long-distance trip
- Multi-day loops around northern Xinjiang: often 300–500 km per day
Our advice
Before booking, tell our team the outline of your route (start and end cities, main stops, number of days) so we can calculate mileage and quote accordingly. This avoids disputes over excess mileage during the trip. Please also let us know promptly if plans change en route.
